Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website to find a home, book a call or ask us a question, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, screen magnification or other assistive technology. We keep accessibility in mind when we design, build and update the site, and we keep working to improve it.
Standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make websites easier to use for people with a wide range of disabilities.
The site is checked against this standard every time it is updated, but it has not been independently audited or certified. Some parts may not fully meet the standard yet, and we fix problems as we find them.
What we have done
- Keyboard. The site is built to work without a mouse. A "Skip to main content" link is the first stop on every page, the item you are on shows a clear outline as you move through the page, and the mobile menu keeps keyboard focus inside it while it is open and closes with the Escape key.
- Screen readers. Each page has one main heading and its language set, photos have text descriptions while purely decorative images are hidden, and the map of the areas we serve comes with a plain list of the same information.
- Colour and layout. Text colours are checked against WCAG contrast ratios, buttons and form fields are large enough to tap easily, and the layout adapts to phones, tablets and desktops.
- Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, moving animations are switched off and the video tour does not play by itself. Videos are silent and have play and pause controls.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label. If something needs fixing, a plain-language message appears next to the field and is linked to it for screen readers, and the cursor moves to the first field that needs attention. Forms also work with JavaScript turned off.
- Testing. Automated accessibility checks run on every page, at desktop and phone sizes, each time the site is updated, along with keyboard, reduced-motion and no-JavaScript tests.
Third-party content
Some parts of the site come from other companies: the booking calendar and chat window (from GoHighLevel) and the listing search (from a third-party listing service). Websites we link to, such as Google Maps and Instagram, are also run by others. We do not control their code, and they may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
To help, a skip link lets keyboard users move past the embedded booking calendar and listing search, and the calendar has a link to open it on its own page. If any of these tools is hard to use, call or email us and we will help you book a time, find homes or answer your questions another way.
Feedback and assistance
If you find a barrier on this site, or need information in another format, email Hassan@haymourrealty.com or call 780-907-7504. Please tell us which page you were on and what happened. We will reply within two business days.
You can also do anything the site offers by phone or email instead, such as booking a call, asking about a home or requesting a valuation.
