Who we are
Haymour Realty Group is a real estate team at Sable Realty, Unit 102, 10350 124 St, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 3V9. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Haymour Realty Group.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you use this website or contact us through it. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). If you become a client, your service agreement and Sable Realty's privacy practices also apply.
Our privacy contact is Hassan Haymour, Team Lead: Hassan@haymourrealty.com or 780-907-7504. You can also reach Samir Sweiss, Operations & Management, at Samir@haymourrealty.com or 780-504-6488.
What we collect
When you send us a form, we collect:
- your name and email address on every form, and your phone number (optional on the short enquiry form and in the pop-up)
- your message, and the topic you choose on the contact form (buying, selling, investing, careers or other)
- on the short enquiry form and in the pop-up: the service you are interested in (buying, selling, a home valuation, investing or something else)
- for a home valuation: the property address, property type, when you might sell and anything else you tell us about the home
- for a buyer consultation: what you are looking for, your timeframe, your budget range and whether you are asking about investment properties
- for a question about a listing: your question and the home it is about
With each form, we also record the page you sent it from and the date and time you agreed to be contacted. If you book a call, use the chat window, or phone, email or text us, we also keep the details you share with us that way.
Like most websites, our website host may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser, device type and the pages you request. If analytics is turned on, we also learn how visitors use the site (see "Cookies and analytics" below). The website cannot access your device's location, camera or microphone.
Please do not send sensitive information, such as your social insurance number or banking details, through this website.
Consent to contact
Every form asks you to tick a box that says: "I agree to receive calls, texts and emails from Haymour Realty Group about my enquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out." We need this consent to reply to you, so a form cannot be sent without it.
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and follow up about it by phone, email or text
- arrange calls, showings and meetings, send confirmations and reminders, and prepare the valuation, listings or other information you ask for
- consider your interest in joining the team, if you contact us about careers
- keep a record of our conversations and of your consent
- understand how the website is used, so we can improve it
- meet our legal and regulatory duties as real estate professionals
You can withdraw your consent at any time, for calls, texts, emails or all three. Our marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, you can reply STOP to any text, or you can simply tell us. We act on these requests promptly, and always within 10 business days, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires. If withdrawing consent means we cannot help you with something, we will tell you.
Text messages and how to opt out
If you give us your mobile number and agree to be contacted, we may text you about your enquiry, for example to confirm an appointment, send homes you asked about or check in on your plans.
- Message frequency varies with your enquiry and how we are working together.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to any text to opt out. You may receive one final text confirming that you have opted out, and we will not text you again unless you ask us to.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at 780-907-7504 or Hassan@haymourrealty.com.
Opting out of texts does not stop our calls or emails, so tell us if you want those to stop too. We never sell or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with other companies for their own marketing.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files that websites store in your browser. This website does not set its own cookies to identify you, but the services below may use cookies or similar browser storage when they are turned on.
The website itself keeps a few small notes in your browser's storage: one when you close our pop-up, which is cleared when you close the tab; one when you send a form, which it ignores after a week, so the pop-up does not keep asking you; and one when you accept the terms notice above MLS® listings, so it does not show again. They stay on your device, hold no personal information and are never sent to us.
- Google Analytics. When it is turned on, it measures how visitors use the site: pages viewed, approximate location, device type, how you found us, and actions such as sending a form, tapping a phone number, viewing the booking calendar or running a search. We never send your name, email address, phone number or messages to Google Analytics, and the site tells Google not to use this data for advertising. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
- GoHighLevel tracking. If we turn it on, GoHighLevel's tracking code records the pages you visit and how you arrived, such as the link or campaign that brought you here. If you send us a form, it may connect those visits to your contact record, so we can see which homes and topics interest you.
- Chat, booking and listing search. These tools come from other companies and may use their own cookies to work, for example to keep a chat open as you move between pages.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading this website or sending a form.
Third-party services
We use service providers to run this website and our business, and we have authorized them to collect, use and store your information only for these purposes:
- GoHighLevel, our customer relationship management (CRM) system, stores your enquiry and our contact records, helps us send and track emails and texts, and runs our booking calendar, chat window and any sign-up pages we link to.
- Google keeps our booking calendar in sync through Google Calendar, and measures website use through Google Analytics when it is turned on.
- A third-party listing service shows MLS® listings and runs the home search. The search details you enter, such as location, price range and bedrooms, are passed to it so it can show matching homes.
- The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) supplies the MLS® listings from other brokerages through its DDF®, when they are shown. When you open one of those listing pages, your browser tells CREA that the listing was viewed, as CREA's rules require, with a random ID that your browser keeps so CREA counts repeat views once. We send no name, email address or phone number with it; like any web request, it includes standard technical details such as your IP address.
- Our website host and email provider deliver this website, process the forms you send, and handle the emails you send to our team.
GoHighLevel stores information in the United States. Google, our listing service, our website host and our email provider may store or process it in the United States or in other countries where they or their suppliers operate. While your information is outside Canada, the laws of those countries apply to it, and their courts, law enforcement and national security authorities may be able to access it. For written information about our use of service providers outside Canada, or for any questions about it, contact Hassan Haymour, Team Lead.
We also share information with Sable Realty, our brokerage, which oversees our work and keeps records as Alberta's real estate rules require; with other professionals, such as a mortgage broker or lawyer, only when you ask us to; and when the law requires or allows it, for example to comply with a court order. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes in this policy, or longer if the law requires it.
- If we do not end up working together, we keep your details while you might still want our help, and delete them once we no longer need them.
- If you become a client, we keep transaction records for as long as Alberta's real estate rules and federal anti-money-laundering law require.
- If you ask us not to contact you, we keep a note of that request so we can respect it.
When we no longer need your information, we securely delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information against loss and unauthorized access, use or disclosure:
- This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your form goes to our website's server, which passes it directly to GoHighLevel, and the key that connects them never reaches your browser.
- Security settings limit which outside services can run code on this website.
- Our website's logs record technical details only, never your name, contact details or message.
- Only team members who need your information can see it.
To stop spam, every form has a hidden field that people never see. Automated programs tend to fill it in, and forms that arrive with it filled in are discarded. The website also limits how many forms can be sent from one internet connection in a short time; it holds your IP address only temporarily in memory for this check and does not save it with your enquiry.
No system is completely secure. If a breach involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will report it to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, as Alberta law requires, and let you know.
Your rights
You can:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and how we have used and shared it
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- withdraw or change your consent, as described above
- ask us to delete your information, which we will do unless the law or our brokerage's record-keeping rules require us to keep it
Send your request in writing (email is fine) to our privacy contact. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we will respond within 45 days. If the law allows us more time, for example for a large request, we will tell you why and when to expect our answer. Corrections are free. We do not normally charge for access either, and if a fee is ever needed, we will give you a written estimate first.
If you are unhappy with our response, please tell us so we can try to put it right. You can also ask the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta to review our decision or look into a complaint: visit oipc.ab.ca or call 1-888-878-4044 (toll-free). You generally have 30 days from our decision to ask for a review.
If your information crosses provincial or national borders, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply, and you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
